Dr. Emmanuel Onyekwere earned a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Walden University in Applied Management and Decision Sciences (AMDS) Finance Specialization in February 2009. He also earned M S in Business Economics, Graduate College, University of Nebraska and a BS/BA Finance University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1981 and 1984 respectively. Author: Privatization of State Owned Enterprises as Instrument of Socio Economic Development in Nigeria: Learning from Latin American Countries (VDM Verlag). He briefly served as Adjunct Professor of Business Administration at Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach Alabama. Prior to this period, Emmanuel got his start at Fortune 500 enterprises such as Burroughs Corp, Travelers Insurance, MCI Communications and Pitney Bowes Inc. The bulk of Emmanuel’s technical and managerial experience was acquired at State and Federal Governments, where he handled special projects and turning around under-performing assets.
Emmanuel also have experience in International Project Development and currently consults in cross border structured finance transactions pertaining to transportation infrastructure finance, turnkey solutions in green-field projects. Emmanuel interest in Risk Management has enabled foray into Insurance and Financial Services starting a scratch exclusive agency at Farmers Insurance Group in Maryland for 6 years before acquiring an established book with Allstate Insurance also in Maryland as Majority Owner. Emmanuel resides in with his family in sub-urban Harford County, Maryland.
