Nkoyo Effiong Lewis is an attorney, consultant and speaker based in Atlanta, Georgia. A proud graduate of Brown University and New York University School of Law, Nkoyo combines her passion for education and legal training to [ed]-vocate for radical, systemic change in public education and social policy.
With over ten years of experience examining American culture, public education, and the law, Nkoyo is acutely aware of the deficiencies in our institutions and the law that lead to disparities in access to and opportunities for upward mobility. Inspired by her years of study, experiences teaching and legal practice, Nkoyo launched The Effiong Firm LLC in 2016. The Effiong Firm is an education law firm advocating for educational equity and economic justice alongside communities of color. Through subscription legal services, the firm provides resources and representation to parents + students, charter + independent schools and education entrepreneurs.
When she is not lawyering, parenting or some combination of both, you can find her reading, writing, or dancing around the world.
